Rangers! : Lineage 2 General Discussions

Hey! I am fairly new to the game and I heard the terms Phantom Ranger and Silver Ranger. What types of rangers are there and what kind of abilities do they have. Also, I need advice on which race I should choose for my ranger, Elf, or Dark Elf. I want to be as effective and helpful as possible in pvp. I know I am acting very noobish and blood sucking but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! I watched it, so rangers seem to do alot of damage with daggers. Dont they use bows 2? What is a Phantom/Silver Ranger? Thanks again!

phantom ranger is a Dark elf ranger i believe, and silver ranger is a elven ranger.
they r both good, each have its advantages and disvatnages, but personally i prefer the dark elf ranger because they hit harder (more dmg) and they look cooler. elven rangers r good too, but they do less dmg; however, they run faster and evade a bit more. it's really up to you, but my recommendation is a phatom ranger (DE)

as to daggers, either ranger can use dagger as well and they do a lot of dmg. the thing i like about rangers is that if they r low on mana (from shooting the bow) they can run up to the monster and stab them with daggers (massive dmg), and if they r low on life, they can just use the bow and hit and run.

Nice, well, do you use magic power instead of arrows? Or are Bow/arrows useless without using a special ability with them?

Oh I see now, it is better to do as much damage as possible so once u run out of mana for bow skills, u use dagger casue does more damage than regular arrows. cool!

the one i was refering to. it was the same setup as the one u watched, except this phantom ranger (DE) with bow killed 3 Elven rangers and 1 human fighter before he died. it was 5v5 and he took out four all by himself lol. there was a bit of luck involved too but it was still very cool.

and to asnwer ur question, each time u shoot an arrow (even without using a skill) it takes mana. the beginning bows take 1 mana per shot. later bows can take 4 or 5 mana per shot

Phantom rangers and Silver rangers are [i]almost[/i] even. It is SUPER close. It comes down to if the PR gets the stun shot off. If he does, its over. They are the best 2 melee classes PVP wise pretty much. Though, not to say a skilled player couldnt take one down, its just harder I prefer the PR, since one im a DE and too i like more damage.

Also Elves hit faster and crit more often, while DE's hit slower, crit for harder and do more damage.
