1) transformers (the REALLY japanese one)
2) Dragonball z/gt
3) Inuyasha

Some people are uninformed about what anime was released here in the US.

The first anime ever aired on US TV was the original Astro Boy = Tetsuwan Atom back in 1963/64.

Since then we have had
Star Blazers = Space Battleship Yamato
Transformers: Robots in Disguise = Car Robots
Speed Racer = Mach Go Go Go
8th Man = 8-Man
and many more..

The most controversial is Kimba the White Lion originally known as Jungle Taitei.
This was the basis for The Lion King.
Amazingly enough Disney NEVER got permission to do it nor were they ever successfull in procuring the rights to the show.
