PvP tips for a Spellhowler : Lineage 2 Submissions

Here are some combat tips for a PvP for a spellhowler.

Spellhowler vs. Any melee fighter

It's dead easy! Though spellhowlers have a low casting speed their INT and thus attack power is ultimately strong. Against "damage dealers" melee fighters (assasins, rogues, treasure hunters, plainswalkers, abyss walkers, tyrants) and "tanks" (dark avengers, destroyers, paladins, temple knights, shillien knights) the tactic is obvious! If that guy has a summoned pet (a dark panthers for a dark avenger, for example) you sleep the pet down first (the pet falls into sleep at once and always). Then you sleep and slow the master. Then "hurricanes" and "vampiric claws" make a short job of him.

Spellhowler vs. Summoners (Phantom summoners, elemental summoners, warlocks)

It isn't hard as well. As I've already told, you sleep the pet down first (the pet falls into sleep at once and always). Then you sleep and slow the master. Then "hurricanes" and "vampiric claws" make a short job of him.

Spellhowler vs. Supports

This is the easiest. Sleep him down and silence him before he buffs hmself or even afterwards and make short work of him with your attack spells.

Spellhowler vs. Spellsinger

This represents some difficulties. Spellsinger's WIT and casting speed are dangerously more than those of a Spellhowler. It means that a Spellhowler will, probably, fall into sleep faster. But the Spellhowler has the "silence" spell that renders spellsinger's cast speed useless. And spellsinger's low from the beggining health makes him into an easy victim.

NOTE: It's good for a spellhowler to make a tatoo (WIT + / INT -). Sacrifice your VERY high attack power but gain a cast speed that will give you a chance against spellsingers and sorcerers or a (MEN + / INT -) against a necromant for you need a really high defence against sleep.

Spellhowler vs. Sorcerers

Just read the tactic against Spellsingers and asume that the difference in the WIT between spellhowlers and sorcerers is smaller than between spellhowlers and spellsingers.

Spellhowler vs. Necromants

A really difficult situation. Necromant has a higher cast speed and far too more powerful debuffs. The only thing that will rescue you is a (MEN + / INT -) tatoo that can protect you from the first sleep. While necromant is casting "Curse of Gloom' on you, sleep and silence him. The rest is to cast him down with your really powerful attacks.

Spellhowler vs. Overlords / Warcryers

Those guys are tough. Their debuffs (seals) are far too more powerful than your sleep or silence, but they are not hard to deal with. They need to get really close to you to cast a seal on you. Sleep and silence them while they are far away and they'll stand no chance!

So as you see a spellhowler can prove unbeatable if you've got good brain, some luck and some information. Good luck!
