Actually Making a Macro? : Myth of Soma - Discussion

Its kind of obvious that most ppl come to this site to find a macro which they can then use for training or crafting purposes. But what my question is, what program would you use to produce that macro. If read in another thread that you can record one using VB script? And i was wondering if someone could explain how to produce one or maybe have a rough guide to producing a simple one in order to produce a complicated one? If someone could help im sure everyone would be greatful with any information that can come into this thread
