Rift Announced Alpha Test Shard For Players : Rift - General Discussions

Rift has just announced they are releasing an alpha test shard. This is only for players with an active subscription to the game. In the shard you will be able to see new content and improvements coming to the world of telara.

The test shard will only be open for certain periods so players can give feedback. Also the shard will from time to time have bugs, downtimes, and other problems so be forewarned if you randomly drop at times.

You wont be able to copy your characters over but you will have your characters continually level up in the test shard and be stored on their own database it seems.

It sounds pretty fun to say the least and its going to be a hit as the world of warcraft PTR is something all players enjoy. However they should IMO make the test shard available to all players that have played at one point in the game.
