I'm in the process of doing this now, I had a fairly big hardware failure happen on Sunday.

Ah, Im running WMWare with 4cores and 4gigs of ram on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with a VPN to mask ip. Working really well. Though gota have a good system as you said gonna need good hardware.

Amd 1090T underwater @ 4.3ghz 2x Radeon 6990's and 16 GB ram. Just have to get it all reinstalled/configured...
