Help.... Amd dual core .... will this program work : General & Trouble Shooting

Hi.....

I am about to get a new pc ... Amd x2 4800+ and i need 2 know if this program will work with it.


Can i disable a core or is there any trick i need to use 2 get this program 2 work properly on the new system...


thanks for any info ... please...

Let me know if your running a dual core system either Amd Or Intel

Lol dual core doesnt have anything to if you can run a program or not ;)

Dual is just a CPU with 2 cores so it acn work better at running multipile programs. And can run at a higher clock rate :)

So they program will work defiantly :) But your motherboard :P

Actually dual core might slow down performance.

TO test, go into the task manager, and right click on the game process (pol.exe, eq2.exe, etc) and go into processor affinity.

Uncheck CPU1 and see if it helps speed up scripts.

it'd be the same deal as setting the process affinity for hyper threading processors - but since this is two cores in one package, it might not experience the same problems as hyperthreading was having.
