(General) Disable .dll checking? Possible? : FFXI General Discussions

I've been trying to find a way to use my old .dll files for quite some time now, and Im curious if anyone has found a way to get around FFXI's client from detecting that they arent up to date.

Most likely the dll has some kind of internal version number it sends to the PlayOnline servers. You'd need to modify this value to be the most recent value.

Since the only real reason to do this right now is to use outdated scripts I don't really see why you can't just wait for the tools to be updated.

What could I use to check this version number, Ive tried a hex editor, but Im really unsure of what to look for.

No, if we could backdate the .dll's we could use FFxi cheatpack again. That was the thing with the speedhack and movement hacks and voke bot.
