Watch out for scammers at times. : FFXI General Discussions

Ive been using this site to trade and comunicate with FFXI players for a few months, but now this site is totally untrustworthy. Ive heard of too many scammers and scams being posted on this site lately. Alot of the auctions posted on xunleashed are stolen accounts. Ive decided to quit using this site for anything and I want to tell everyone to be careful with buying and trading accounts. Please post your own opinions about this topic and maybe an admin will start watching the post more carefully.

Btw, we do provide auction services because we do not wish for the main forums to be flooded with people trading. However, we do not interfere with what they trade. Thus, please trade with care.

Yes i agree there are allot of scammers on this site, one of them is even a premium member called m3rcuryd3ath he scammed a few ppl copple weeks ago.

It seems the owner of that particular character somehow got his account back from m3rcuryd3ath who is called stefan vranka

I never liked m3rcuryd3ath,in the end hes just a pathetic scammer.

If i remember correctly he still has about 3 stolen characters lvl 75 for sale so be ware!


Ppl call me all sorts of things, but at least i dont scam ppl ,or put virus in files and saying its a GREAT HACK!

Scamming we dont condone so his account is no longer premium and banned. AS for scammers well we allow free members to guide and discussions so as with ebay ecte ct there is always a risk. Its sorta the problem we have to face.

But dont let a few bad apples spoil the bunch. Of course there will always be jerks and we will try to take care of them as much as possible. Minus theyfew people we have an awesome community.

What can be done about the people that post characters for sale, yet you do not hear from them for days if not weeks to complete the transaction?

Using the buy now feature closed the auction, so what's a person to do after that's happen? No way to arrange payment, no email from seller, not even an email from mods on this site to direct what the next course of action is.

So, what do you do, and what's the process after you've won with the buy now feature? Please help a newbie out.

Just DONT buy or sell or trade accounts . If you dont like the game enough to level your own character, just dont play it.

Its my opinion...
