No delay on XP rings!!! ( upgrade please ) : FFXI General Discussions

ok this is my first guide so i hoped i don't get flammed anyways here it goes.

first you need a fair almost of conquest points like 5-10k ( can be farmmed via expeditionary force or something i will write i guild about that later )

then buy your first ring and get it down to 1 charge ( or if your rich with conquest points keep it at 7 ) and use it then drop the ring go and buy 1 more ring then start leveling by town and when your exp bonus goes out do it over again. XP bouns all day long {Yes, Please}

I thought you could olny get one ring per conquest upadate, or in other words once a week.

ah so only 1 a week even if you buy them not recharge them? i didn't try it past 1 but still 1 extra use of the ring is still helpful not upgrade helppful tho thanks =)

not a bad idea but yeah as far as I know it doesn't work Leveling right outside town will only get your to level 10 usually and without the exp rights it can be done it 2 hours with a mnk (maybe other jobs that can solo quick at lowlvl but mnk is the only strong melee I ever did ^^ ). I got whm from lvl 1 - 10 in about 5 hours total and I value the conquest points more than a couple hours time ^^ Buy some rank 9 or 10 items and sell them and you will see what I am talking about lol. I've bought 1 rank 9, and 2 rank 10 items in the past year and I'm almost back up to 40k CP's again.

the dudes i dea was really happening ... SE quickly changed it that some people did know that it was there !! my friend did that before SE changed it
they were like a pt of 50's they kick some mobs then all of them WARP back to town buy ring then GO back oh my god i think he got 1-2 levels doing so ....

hmm not going to deny that it did happen -- just I never seen it myself ^^ If it did work at one time, too bad SE caught it before I had a chance to use it.

Then again, the rings only give you 1000 exp extra per use and you can get that in 4-6 mobs without using the extra CP. Don't remember how many kills / how much time it will take to get the CP's for another ring but seems like its a waste of CP too me either way ^^

The way described by the op doesn't work, but you can get a "free" charge on your last ring charge.
Items using charges have a recast timer (16 hours for exp ring), but when using your last charge, the timer goes straight to 0:00:00 (why would they put a recast on something you can't use anymore? heh).
So when your ring is at 1/7 charges left, uses the last one and trade your ring to gate guard right away!
If you're using empress band, you have 3 hours to get to camp and make 2k (and the 1k bonus) with your party, then can use your ring again.
That's not much, but free exp is always welcome.

You've never been allowed to get more than one ring/recharge per conquest ever since they added the rings. There were tons of posts on several message boards about that when they were first released.

What you can do is use the ring before you log for the night.

If you have a day when you don't want to exp or are otherwise busy, save your ring and use it right before you log.

When you log backin you will have 3 hours (or 3k exp) for exping (pending you get a party), and then you can use your ring again (if 16 hours has passed) for kinda a double whammy.

If you're posting a technique, you should really try using it first yourself?

Using what Blitz above has said, if you also time that with a conquest update then you can go for more than a double whammy.
