umm... i need a lil help : FFXI General Discussions

i just started FFXI today, and i dont know what im suposed to do... lol ive been recomended by many websites to try it but i dont know the plot, the point, or any thing eals about the game for that matter... i would very much apreciate it if someone could posibly help me with this problem of mine....

there are many many many things you can do in the game, there really isnt that much of a ongoing storyline except that you kill stuff for regional conquest. well the ongoing storyline is geting "1337" gears for your characters jobs. this game takes FOREVER because of the speed of leveling and you having to level each job individually for the character. its not one job per char but each job can be leveled on one character so you can spend years on the game and still not finish. end game has become a bot war basicly against otherlinkshells and gil sellers.
