Question about gardening... : FFXI General Discussions

so i've read several gardening guides but i couldnt find an answer for this question.

i know you have to check your plants on certain days to increase/decrease the elemental power and i also write that down for every pot on every mule.
some guides i have read say that you have to check your plant twice in a row and then write down the result. but sometimes when i do that it says : growing well-> doing well and if i check a 3rd time it says growing well again... so what do i have to write down?

Do NOT check a third time. Every single check is important; too much is as bad as too little. (I believe it has been suggested that where you check from matters as well). I would just keep the second result.
