Apparently there are some great NON CH tank pets being made from BE's. Some of them have 45% resists down the board with 9K hams! Here is a general explanation on how it's done for the official forums. Expect this to get nerfed, but it's nice to have a tank for non ch's again.

"They are made using nocous kamurith DNA, which is light armor and neutral resists down the board, CL 45 or 50, I forget which now. BE's can basically resample and remix and take down CLs, also by how many Experiment points we put in and what we put them into effects it. Basically using this DNA, when it drops the armor it picks up good resists down the board. Then its just a matter of some time invested and you got an uber non-ch pet. You can take the pets down to CL 2 and have them at 9k+ ham and 30%+ resists down the board. "
