I just got a global chat message saying that they have heard of the full expertise exploit, and are doing a scan to see which players are using it. They're threatening to ban players who use it, and are saying to whoever uses this that they should reset their expertise now. Is this a bluff? or should I really go and reset my expertise?

It didn't say they were going to ban people. They just said they are logging the expertise to see who used it.
