Transfering resources to a different server?? : SWG Premium Discussions

Has anyone come up with a way/place to get resources to transfer to a new server on a toon transfer? I heard factory crates in a pack up house will go? I have not confirmed this.

Nope. All resources will be deleted on transfer. It doesn't matter if they are in the bank, on your yacht, packed up in your house in your datapad or inside a factory. Tried it all and I didn't get anything to work. Also any factories you have packed up in your datapad will not transfer. Even if you have them when you arrive on your new server, when you go to unpack them you can no longer access the factory. At least that was my experience.

it is likely that it is technically impossible for resources to ever cross servers... the way the game is coded using databases means that each server has a table of resources unique to it. in order for a resource to exist on a server it would need to be added to the table for that server. resources are most likely added to this table when the resource originally spawns in the world.

even if faulty or intentional code enabled a toon to transfer to a server along with a reference to a resource from a different server... any attempt to reference that resource on the new server would likely result in an error because the resource just doesn't exist in the database table.

its more than likely its a intentional code cause it would probably be trivial to just have made a global database that had every spawn of resources evar
