Exploit: Beast Master pet Abilities : SWG Premium Discussions

Just found this one out today. If you have a pet and you teach it some abilities, redo your expertise but you only have to put 2 pts into Beast Master (Hatch egg and attack), and your pets can still use the abilities. Saves you 11 pts spent in Beast Master to have your pet able to do some specials.

Enjoy. Sorry if it's already here :)

Nay

Pretty sure it's only able to use one ability and this is by design. You can train a pet with 2 pts in BM and Provoke is given by the BM npc's so you can teach it that one right off. I think the way any other skill is retained is that it has to be in the first spot when you redo your expertise. Attacks 2-4 get wiped out with expertise redo.

Nay.

Doesn't work for the same reason as mentioned above. It deletes all the other skills except the very first one.

Sorry if I worded my first post kinda vague. Basicly, if you teach your pet an ability other than "Provoke" (which is a lame ability anyways), you can teach it something better like Bite5 or anything you want. It will then retain this skill after redoing expertise, even if you don't invest enough pts (11 pts) to get the ability for one pet special. I have my pet using Enfeeble5 right now and I only have 2 pts in beast master. This I assure is not intended. If you don't find that usefull, then oh well.

I disagree that this is not working as intended.

They give you the ability to train your pet, they give you the ability to reset expertise, they give you the ability to keep one pet special attack post respec. It is up to you to keep which ever one you like. It just has to be in attack slot 1 (petToolbarSlot3 I think).
