What does sweep mean below?

Drops:
Adena [328-654] (70%), Spellbook: Curse Bleary (5.0672%), Steel (2.0691%), Gastraphetes Shaft (1.2957%), Gastraphetes (0.0032%),

i understand drops but sweep?????

It is a skill that dwarves have.

Dorfs get a skill called spoil.. you use it when the mop is alive to change to get an extra drop.
After he is dead you use the search skill, formerly called sweep, to search his corpse for the drop. It does not always work.
As Scavengers get higher they get better versions of spoil but there is no upgrade to sweep.
