Ring events T5 & T6 : EverQuest 2 General Discussions

I was having so much fun with the Acid ring I thought maybe we could post other rings we know of that has good lewt here to help give us options when others are camped. OR if you don't want to post it feel free to PM me as always, I enjoy trying to kill things I shouldn't be able too.

one gewd ring that ive heard about is the Sha'ir ring in majdul, just kill a sha'ir and hope the ring starts, which will bring others keep coming untill a named comes and ive heard it drops pretty sweet lewt

Whats the Acid ring?

its a ring event in cazic thule at the top of the highest pyramid, the end mob is an acidic blob

We did this, kind of.
Kill 1x Sha`ir 61^^^
2x Sha`ir 61^^
3x Sha`ir 61^
4x Sha`ir 61
Tried 1x Servant of Mudeef 66^^^, hit me once for over 2500 Health AND 2500 Power.

Was maybe 10-12 seconds between waves. We didn't wipe, but next time, definitely going to have some stifling/stunning going.

I hear they *can* drop Master chests, but haven't killed one. Yet.

The Sha'ir ring event in Maj'dul used to be guaranteed metal with several decent drops, but since it could be farmed every 30 minutes it was nerfed rather quickly. I believe it CAN still drop metal but is nowhere near guaranteed anymore.

I will confirm that they nered alot of drops in eq2 recently, including the Sha'ir ring event. It seems after all the uber guilds got done farming it, it got majorly nerfed into oblivion. We did 5 of them today (1 group I was in) ... 2 time out of these 5 no chest dropped at all, and the other times it was just some crafting scrolls, ancient teachings and 50+ adept 1's.

Totally lame
