EQ2 crashing when lauching without XU : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

Well everything is in the topic : XU works perfectly on my computer, but if i launch EQ2 without XU loaded i always get an fatal error upon clicking "Play" after the update check of the patcher.

Everquest II has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown.

<verify> C:\live\eq2\frameworks\core\devices\src\directx9RendererDevice.cpp (844) : Everquest II requires DirectX 9.0c

Of course DX9 is properly installed and since i have no problem using XU with EQ2, i don't understand why such an error.

If someone can help...

PS : My computer is an AMD Athlon 64 3500+, 2G RAM, GC NVIDIA Geforce 6800

Well nobody has an idea ?
