Stack Group Buffs on Any Raid Member : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

Using a UI that allows you to join a group before you login allows you to maintain what are normally single target group only buffs on other raid members outside of your group.

Here's the step by step:

1) Get an invite to the group with the target you wish to buff
2) Buff them
3) Hard close the game
4) Wait for your character to log out
5) Log back in
6) While logging back in get an invite to another group in the raid

Your buffs will still be on the your original group target(s).

This exploit is very useful for classes like SK's with their mit buffs and other classes that get single target buffs that you normally wouldn't put into a main tank group.

Can you restack the buffs on the same person? You know...give your tank like 10k mitigation and 20k hp?

Also if you point me in the direction of a ui that can join groups before you log in, ill try it.

Yes you can stack buffs (SK Mit buffs do stack on your main tank) ~6400 is 80% for a level 74 mob

Hard close? You mean /quit? Or can you do a regular logout?

Seems to work. But it's definitely very important to be put back into the same group of the person you gave the buff to; if you do and you leave the group the buff disappears. Unfortunately, I was put back into the same group and I'm not sure if your 1 concentration slot is still open if your in a different group. I have feeling that it's not. I'll have to try again.

This actually only works for about 10minutes if that on the person who changes groups depending on their connection and lag to server. The person who has the buffs.. will forever see the buffs in the maintained icons lists.. however.. upon sending a tell to the person I had buffed (via the maintained buffs windows) they confirmed to me.. nope sorry.. but nice try.

Longest ive seen my buffs stay on a person after something like this is 10minutes for someone on a slow/laggy cable connection. Most of the 3mbit dsl users see about 3minute duration
