This is very simple, it involves no macros scripts or whatever.
this works best with pets, such as necro pets.
go to an area that your pet can solo in, unbuffed, without any help from you, go to an area where the mobs that automatically attack you respawn, they will attack yoiu and your pet will kill them, they respawn, wash rinse repeat.
go afk and sleep or do whatever and when you come back after a while you will have gained a lvl or 2 with no effort on your part

We used to do that in eq with skel pets in GUk like 6 years ago.. worked well til nerfed:)
