No it is not dead. Actually we post updates on the Official site every time there is an update we update. We just stopped updating all the other sites that we posted on as we are hard working on new features for the application.

Update
For those that don't regularly use Demon or use Demons official website, I will take this time to give everyone an announcement.

Demon will be getting new features soon.

Some of those features include:
A new back end, for cleaner and smoother processor performance.
Complete customization, hate the way it looks modify it the way you want.
New updating system, you will no longer have to download and install the setup file anymore.

These changes and many more coming soon to Demon. I am trying to push for Late May/Early June.

Are you talking about skinning or on a deeper level?

Basically, almost everything will be movable inside the application. All you will have to do is Right click and if the cursor changes its movable. If it doesn't then it is static for a reason. We are looking into adding skinning capabilities in the future also, so that it can match your UI in game.

Also, on a much deeper level. We am actually looking into a way for the user to change the actual .exe file name, the Window Caption, and some other items to make it undetectable by Anti-hack Shields and Sony.

Right now we are able 35% done with the new version. We have the Run-Speed modification on the new back end and we are porting the other modifications over however, it is a slow process.

Those that use Demon and do not regularly view the official site, I would like to take this time to encourage you to download the .Net Framework 4.0 to be able to continue to use newer versions of Demon.

Download it here.

Did you know you can take the EQ2 live setup and just change the ini file that has the ip info (there is only one right now) and it works 100%? Fact is it is even faster to log in using that way than it is via the EQ2x way which shows they screwed the pooch with their installer.

I haven't played EQ2 in a long while (yes, I write my TS macro for it but don't really play it) and was shocked to see that even with my C2D E8500 (@3.4ghz) with 8 gigs of ram setup this bastage of a game sucks up 65%-85% of my processor (that is almost 2 cores at 100% each) just sitting there in it. Go back to their pre multi-core implementation and I was on an AMD XP2700+ running at 50-65% and that is a single core.

Seems they are craptastic programmers making Lord knows what for a salary all the while sucking in the customers.

Does EQ2 even work on a single core anymore? I know I turned off multicore support and my system fell down to the 65%-85% whereas before, with it on, I was running ~90%.

What all of the above was for was to vent to someone who knows the inner workings of EQ2 at least as well if not better than I do and to let people know to have no fear the games is 100% identical to each other only the ip change is different.

I am no longer supporting Demon as Sony has implemented a detectable speed function and I have no been able to find a way to get around it.
