Any good monk survival guides/builds for GvG? : GW Guide Discussion

Hi there

I've been playing GW for a few months and have finished the PvE game with two characters. My only problem is that I've never really tried PvP.

I'd like to try and get my hands on some Protection monk strategies/guides for survival in GvG. In my minimal GvG experience I've noticed that the monk is the prime target when the battle commences, unlike PvE where you can usually hang back a bit and spam heal. I do manage to last a bit longer with a little practice, but I'm sure that there must be some people out there who wouldn't mind sharing some basic strategies.

Any pointers for me?

Thanks!

Well, heal/smite would be good. Shield of Judgement will make ppl stop attacking u pretty fast because it knocks foe down each time they attack u, and then they just get annoyed and stop hitting you. I'd say put live vicoursly and reversal of fortune would do the trick.

#1 - always cary a few protection skills
#2 - your group is suppose to protect you, they have to keep you alive for you to keep the malive
#3 - when they do attack don't run just heal yourself and protect yourself, any good monk should be prepared for that

I think blackop fairly summed up that, lol. Yeah, as he said, but make sure that you have one close range smiting skill to stop people from attacking you, it is also useful to have spellbreaker

Thanks guys! I will give it a bash and see how things work out. Luckily I have all available monk primary skills and warrior secondaries unlocked so I should be able to try a few things :P

Cheers!
