T5 Alchemy Money Maker [Nerfed] : EverQuest 2 Nerfed Info

All of the potion/poison components (using turnip/peppertree etc) seem to be selling back to the NPC at 64s. They take one raw, water (6c) and fuel (9s22c). These raws are often cheap so just make em in bulk in crude quality and make a 50s profit on each one.

Get in on this quick... did some more sums and it could be a bigger money maker than the ink as long as you can find the resources:

Per combine: 64s - 9.22s -0.06s = 54.72s profit.

Per stack: 10g94s40c raw profit - cost of resources.

If you pay 20s per resource that is 4g a stack so you still make about a 7g profit per stack. Sounds less than the ink right? But this is just one crude combine as opposed to 5 combines per ink, and I can get a stack of these done in about 5 mins. So in an hour, assuming 10 mins for buying resource, running to/from vendor etc I can still make 10 stacks for a 70g-1.1plat profit (depending on cost of resources). Also if you are only tier 4 you can still do this for 1/4 the profit, so you can clear 20-25g an hr doing this.

Use it as long as it lasts since it WILL get nerfed very soon.

Well if you need an Alchemist i can get you from 3-40 in about 14 days =) i run a powerleveling service for artisans. (currently booked with 4 pl's atm if ill update this when i have an opening.

Gee im quiting eq2 now thanks for posting this almost immediatly after this was posted it was nerfed i was makeing a killing as well as powerleveling others for RL $$ but now im screwed cuz what i use to buy at about 2-4s in t4 and spend an additional 2s on for fuel and got a sell back of 16s per combind i now get a wopping 2 !@#$%^&* silver. =) thanks some posts can kill the game and u found yours.

Heh, I was making poisons. They were selling for 1g 60s per, i was making about 25g profit per stack, due to suspensions only costing 9s

So Gubs what you are saying is

A) There is an SOE mole on these boards

B) Noone should post exploits here even though it is an exploit board....

1) More posts more players share more exploiting for everyone. Exploits are always fixed one way or another if SOE had a mole in these boards they could get easily sued big time. Sony doesnt care that much look how long it took them to nerf things in SWG and EQ1.

2) It was going to be nerfed one way or another. Basically sony looks all around after updates for players who gain vast amounts of money faster than normal they look into the account find the problem and solve it. Shared or not it would have been nerfed quickly.

This wasn't an explaoit, was just part of the game. 64 silver was the buyback price for all intermediate combines. It wasn't nerfed because sony read these boards.. it was nerfed because everyone was doing it and to much money was entering the economy

I found a neat thing about tempers and subcomponents.

If you are using alchemy products (or other products taht are made in multiples... i.e pristine = 4, then 3,2,1). If you buy your supplies from the broker, then buy the !@#$%^&* kind. do NOT buy pristine if you dont have to. Let me explain the logic.

The cost of the raw material is incorporated in, therefore it is split into four if pristine, and three if next down, two, then one. If you use tempers that were made of 100% of the raw material, you will be able to sell ANYTHING that uses the combine of this supply.

An example:

Making a feyiron Sheet
Needed
-Feyiron Bar
-Paleolith Tmper
-Fuel

Using pristine, it would sell for about 4s or so, using the crap kind of temper it yielded over 1s more, like 5s30c or something. These numbers are not exact but they represent what i saw. So if you buy stuff to use, buy the cheap versions of your WROTs.
