It only works to go Imp > Reb, not the other way around.

Steps I took:

1) Resigned from Imperial by talking to Recruiter outside Bestine Starport.

2A) One toon was a Imp pilot, so he skipped down to step 3, the other toon was a Freelance pilot and had to resign from the Freelance Group by talking to the recruiter in the Bestine Hotel (behind the bar).

3) Talk to Rebel Pilot Recruiting Robot in Moenia, Naboo. He is just inside the Gazeebo thing outside the starport. Use your overhead map to find him.

Bingo - Imperial to Rebel in 5 minutes with two toons.

This was not nerfed.
You can only go from IMPERIAL to REBEL.
You cannot go from REBEL to IMPERIAL via this method.
Its odd, but functional.

Wait it seem that you do nee the reb or imp faction atm, mabye they fixed this.

Why in gods name was this confirmed?

Not only is the 5000GCW a waste of time (they mean nothing since NGE), but this only works for Imperial-to-Rebel.

This does NOT work for Rebel-to-Imperial.

Soooo.... why does this not work? I've done this before with many characters. Now Moenia droid trainer won't work, and Mos Espa trainer won't work. It's not working for me.

Sorry I found out the problem. First of all I'm an idiot. I haven't played the char in years and didn't realize he's already a neutral pilot. True neutral. Just had to go to Gil Burton, resign, and it worked perfectly as it always has.

Just tried, droid says: "Excuse me. I cannot locate any record of you registrering yourself with the Alliance. Please visit a Rebel Recruiter to correct this issue."

So definately nerfed.
