Ok i wasn't going to get on my account because i knew they were looking for people.. i didn't respec whille i was on so they sent me an e-mail, I was only on for like 5 seconds tops here it is.....

Hello,

This email is to inform you that your Star Wars Galaxies account has been suspended for a period of three days due to exploiting the Expertise system to gain more Expertise for your character than the game allows.

When your suspension is up you will have three days in order to manually respect your expertise in-game or face further disciplinary actions.

Here are the steps to respec your Expertise:

1. Visit a Profession Counselor at the Starports in Mos Eisley (Tatooine), Theed (Naboo), or Coronet (Corellia).

2. Begin a conversation with the Profession Counselor and select the following conversation choices:

a. “Resetting my expertise sounds interesting, but how much will it cost me?”

b. “That sounds good, I’ll take it.”

3. Your Expertise points will then be reset.

a. NOTE: Your Expertise abilities may still appear in your Commands menu. If this happens, please use /sit and /logout to completely log your character out of the game for fifteen to twenty minutes to allow the Expertise abilities to clear.

Please be aware that accounts found in violation of this exploit after the three day grace period for correction will have additional actions taken towards the account.

Yea they were sending messages in game the other day flashing on the screen, and its all over the forum. I wonder how they can stop the explot besides banning people.

LOL - yeah, I got hit with the three-day ban stick on one of my accounts. That's the best they can dish out?

Let's see... before this, I got away with:

-AFK macro grinding two toons to 80 pre-NGE
-AFK macro faction grinding my way to countless AT-ST's
-Multiple slicing hundreds of weapons
-Using Auto-It to AFK grind five toons to master crafters (two to Master Trader post NGE)
-Using SpeedGear in PvE and PvP
-Credit duping pre-CU
-Item duping post-CU (good tip on redeeding ships, btw)
-Grabbing many, many Ion Stunner pistols
-Lava Flea rinse/repeat
-Cursed Shard rinse/repeat
-the notorious /expertise trick
-the restuss commendation dupe
-the restuss "blow up the antenna while dead" trick

... and more I'm sure I forgot. And my list probably pales in comparison to a lot of the others here, lol. Good job, SOE - way to keep your eye on the ball.

i love how they were so quick to punish people for the expertise exploit, but how about the people running around with 2 professions? Isnt that something? Full expertise didnt allow me to tank 5 elder jedi and still win. F*ing SOE

i dont see how there gonna fix this as this trick works with lightsbaer crafting experiment points as well start crafting experimenmt choose one point switch off modem switch on instantly and experiment to your harts content 150 % sucsess on your lightsaber

thats how i kept my horns on my wookiee

anyway i havnt logged in yet so they havnt been able to give me a warning or anything .. is that expertise tracker really working ? i am guessing it is since reading post .. but any ideas would be great since i havnt logged on yet and wont really need to for a bit since3 i just got bf 2143 .. but i am starwars diehard so will be missing if i hang to long .. .. thanks for any input in advance all ...

Hm so the bann is 3 days? seems my account has been suspended also , altho i resetted my expertise last night. so i might aswell have kept it the extra night:)

Its been nerfed. I tried it today, and the experimentation will not complete if you are not connected.

Just tried it.. and I've done it successfully 5 times without failing once.. so I would say it's nerfed.
