I am using cheatengine, with pw client. system specs p4 3ghz, 2 gigs ram, 6800gt gc.
but shouldnt fail because of the system specs. Maybe they nerfed it, will try in a bit.

ok, still works pretty well for me. from what you wrote, I imagine your problem is directing the cheatengine to the wrong process, in this case probably the 9dragons updater/launcher.
try launching the game, then start cheatengine, and target the NINEDRAGONS.EXE process. that should fix you up.
This speedhack is around for quite a while, and never heard of it failing because of too low specs (wich yours are not ). Can imagine you would run into some issues with a 386 :)

Still, the animations would be a bit messed up, but the real combat and related processes work on a different bases and should still be sped up.

still, my guess is you got the wrong process, and you will be fine now :)
keep me updated

I think this game has somewhat a wide range of exploiting possibilities.

Is there a section for 9Dragons already in the premium content area?

Thanks so much! Got it working today with CE... I kept getting an unable to attach message but after restarting 9D a couple times it works with no problems. Really enjoying skilling buffs at the moment.

Thank you for your time lootmeg1 - if I could I would give you TU Bucks.

*Admin/Mod: If you read this I vote TU Bucks for lootmeg1 <3

Very helpful!

Best regards.

[edit: lol 386... the good ol days :D ]

has anybody got CE to work with the acclaim(gameguard)version?

gave it a try but it resets my pc like expected when it detects something like CE

i got a GG emulation going.
though i wish i could test somehow if it was being detected.

well the tutorial somewhere in this thread could work.
however you need a few things.

1. the host file, the one in the tutorial is for maplestory.
so the addresses in the host file are invalid, meaning you need to find the correct addresses for 9D.

2.the local server files got a game specifc file in it.
maplestoryUS.npz i assume this plays a big role in getting it to work.
so also this has to be figured out what file this is.

just a rumor, but on the US server
there were people giving away lots of gold.
and claiming they could dupe gold and items.

these guys got to be stupid to make it that obvious
acclaim is not scared to rollback their servers for that kinda thing
