To glitch this fight and make it as easy as it used to, but still get your Superior 3 Marks and the completion.

Have everyone stand outside room, run in and aggro him to fail the quest.Then all run out of instance and back in, so you get quest again. Run up to sam and fight him WITHOUT, touching the crypt. Fight as normal, get him down to 10k life, THEN touch the crypt, kill him, and you avoided the adds(still get ghosts) and completed the challenge.

Not sure if this is in the premium section, but I did it today and it worked, this is not intended so use it as much as you can till they catch on!
