Banned For Anothers Actions : World of Warcraft General Discussions

Well I was banned about 2 days ago, and after waiting all day for blizzard responses (since for some reason they dont own something called a phone) I finally learn that its my responsibility and fault that someone got a keylogger or something on my computer and stole my account info and messed with my account. Wow, I sure am glad I wasted my time playing this game from release only to have my account hijacked once, change the info back, and later get banned for the guy teleporting on my account! Horray for Blizzard!

Now, to my real question. Is there ANYTHING I can do to get it back you guys know of. They said its my responsibilty and fault. I told them how my account info had been changed and how I'd gotten it back, but they didnt care.

At least is there anyone with a 10-day trial pass they would let me use so I can start playing again. It'd be alot easier if I could just do that and decide if its ever worth playing after wasting my time grinding for the 5 days I got back into the game.

It IS your responsibility. In my 10 years of using a computer I've never had a virus, much less a key logger.

You should accept the fact that you !@#$%^&* up. Blizzard has a very tough stance on cheating because their customers asked for it.

Tell Blizzard to check the IP addresses of your account. Tell them your IP address and if they see the offense was made on the other IP they will have to reimburse you and allow you to play again. BTW, they do have phone lines.

No, because I play from my home PC, connect from work to check AH stuff during the day (its only for 5mins, I promise!!) and also play on my laptop when i go abroad

So the ips are different

then get the IP addresses for all of those computers and have bliz see if any others besides those have been on your account

Are you kidding?!? i am the IT director of a car dealership and i use keylogging software on every single persons computer. It is incredibly easy to have keylogging software installed on your computer without your knowledge because they can be installed just by clicking one errant pop up.... sorry about your account hijacked that really sucks

Ok, Blizzard officially has an obsession for banning me.

I'm just sitting there, grinding on some mobs outside Crossroads when all of a sudden I get a GM message. He asks if I have some time to talk. So I finish up the mob wondering what is wrong and say Hi and asks whats going on.

Next thing I know he tells me my account is being suspended for a third party program (hmm where did I hear that before *sigh*) and for extreme exploitation of game mechanics (Apparently grinding = exploiting).

I ask what I did but he says all the info is in my email (which I have yet to receive) and then disconnects me. Now I'm completely baffled why this happened becaue I didn't use any hacks, exploits, bots, or programs at all. All I've done is grind to level 11, and I just started my new toon 2 das ago literally.

Hopefully it's just a mishap, or because someone didn't like me in my grinding, maybe I stole their mine or something, I have no idea but I hope I dont loose another account banned for no reason. Maybe they'll check the IP if anyone did hack this time and see it wasent mine...lol.

All in all, I'm rather pissed at Blizzard for:
1) Banning me a first time
2) Suspending me after playing for 2 freaking days.
3) Not even talking to me ingame, but sending me an email I've yet to receive upon the suspension.
4) Complete lack of decent communication (taking forever to email that I was suspended and not using a damn phone) to talk to me about my last problem, now this.

Your obviously mistaken, why even post? You are saying some dude at Blizz happens to just pick someone out of thin air (millions) and it is you AND you happen to use this site for exploits etc. I am not buying it. You got caught and are hoping someone here can tell you a way to get back your account. you sir were OWNT.

heh, I love to use external keyloggers from time to time at work. Just slip it on right quick and grab it at the end of the day. http://www.keyghost.com/sx/ is pretty nice, also I have keyboards with keyloggers built into them just for the paranoid types lol.

LoL. That's the same excuse I used when Valve caught me cheating in Counter-Strike. "Someone stole my account password and was cheating, but it wasn't me." I don't buy that excuse for a second.
