think i could get banned for this? : World of Warcraft General Discussions

Okay well I got an idea today so basically I was at jintha and got a rare scroll drop and I found it on market for 6g so I put mine up and after auction was over the other scroll sold. So I thought to myself i'll put it up for 100g then log on another character and spam that I want to buy it for 175g so I did and some guy messaged me and said lemme check my bank n he said he had one I then replied with oh sorry a friend just told me he already has the scroll. I then logged out and logged on my main, boom 100g in my mailbox, could I get banned for outsmarting someone who's greedy like that? or "scamming" them? I talked to a few people and they said that even if he did find out he got scammed they wouldn't do anything. What do yall think?

explain in a little more depth where this 100g comes from?

The person who "checked his bank" bought the item off of the AH for 100g in hopes of selling it for 175.

yup, lol, the guy was epiced out so I didn't feel bad he was probably rich, it's his fault for thinking someone would pay that much for it. :]

If it was the +7 int to bracer enchant he didn't get that ripped off, people pay around 100g for that all the time on my server.

no it was an Ironfeather breastplate leather 28 spirit 10 stam something leather recipe..

I wanna do it again but I need an item that no one else has and would believe it might sell for that much...what items do yall suggest that I could buy cheap then resell for a lot and someone would believe it'd sell fora good high amount? :]

try a low lvl blue that sells for around 10g ish then try to get 50 back

I got an account banned after i was doing that...Not 100% positive that was why it happen, (cant access email) but probably not a coincendence. Becarefull.

so it is considered a scam? i'd try it but i already got suspended for scamming for 3 days.. fight the addiction of my wow -_-
