I was wondering if (at lvl 60) I get a epic i want off a GM by:

telling a GM I was looting [Insert Epic's Name] when [Insert problem] happened and when I logged back it wasnt there, so could you restore it for me.

Would this be bannable?
Whats a good Problem for this to happen??

Why? Isn't it restoring the item?

I've heard you can do it, the question is is it bannable or not?

Dont go off topic please

you tell a GM that you looted warden staff, and that the warden staff dissapeared when you relogged?

did you ever had the weapon? why would you be banned for it if you dont lie to the GM?

they will not give you said weapon... because anyone could do that then and get w/e item...

and 2 they have logs of what mobs u killed and i believe loot too... but if you never killed the mob to get said epic.. then well ya you get the point

Blizzard tries to never 'create' items, but retrieve them from void logs at your expense. I doubt you will get banned for trying but a suspension will be sure to follow if you push them for it.

They log every thing you do, they would check there archives and see what you killed earlier that day and see if it was true..... But good idea!

Well, they can see a log of anything you did... ever. So they would find out it never happened... and if it did happen, they probably wouldnt do anything. I think theyd let you off with a warning. Don't try, and if your doing it then be careful.

I'm pretty sure GM's have seen people doing this all the time. They probaly have made a way to check out and make sure that your telling the truth. The question about trying it and getting banned is still questionable though... I mean you could try... The GM might not believe you but I don't necessairly think he could ban you for it. Just because you lied to him doesn't mean that you broke the law and started using bots and duping gold. So in my opinion :P go for it.

I tired they said that even if i wasn't lying they can't give the item...

It did happen to me, with the Freezing Band, i had it off a mob in WPL and i lagged and dropped about 10 min later only to find my ring gone when i logged in :\

Don't worry about getting banned, unless your using a 3rd party program or exploiting like mad, you'll be fine, They always give a warning first anyway *i think*
