Preventing LFG Spam : World of Warcraft General Discussions

Aeus from EU Blizzard had this to share with the community today...
To prevent spamming, a fix has been implemented which will allow players to only chat in the LFG channel every 10 seconds.

Currently, the message you will receive is "You do not have permission to speak." In a future patch this text will be updated to be more accurate.

It's a good idea, though the channel has become more of a place for obscure chatting. I've noticed that it is essentailly a place to ask any question and where people (when they don't feel like being annoying) will provide an answer.

I got this a couple of days ago, confused me as i was able to speak later. This was needed though, as a world channel anyone can get into turned out disasterous to say the least.

Just /leave if you dont like it, and comeback when you need a group

Lfg spam is gonna get worse if it is a world channel, id rather keep it server
