This explains why its not as monumental a task as one would think but still pretty cool. The link is on worldofwarcraft.com i cannot access the direct link where I am but I can put it up later if need be.

So check out the servers you get to fight against and perpare for battle.

I am disappointed tho because I can't fight with one of my freinds who is not on my cluster :-(

I worked overtime last week so I decided to spend some of my extra money to transfer to a server to play with them.
But the Cross-Realm cluster fights sound like a better idea than all servers. I was afraid of how bad lag would be if i was on a medium speed server fighting a slow speed server. But most clusters are similar speeds and wou wont hit as much lag

Oh! now i know why ther are only server list and not all server AND character paid transfering....Blizz made server lists and Transfers so all the people who are on a list without their friends will spend their money and be on their friends server list finding out that it is not that great!

No. They released paid transfers because they wanted to give those stuck on a crappy PVP server where the horde vs alliance ratio is hovering 3:1 and because they wanted some extra cash.
The cross-realm PVP list is only around because it would be a huge huge huge lagfest if you tried to get people from all realms to be on the same battle. That means data being sent to servers that may not be directly connected to other servers which will cause the data to have to travel thru several intermediaries before getting to the destination computer. Even at the speed of light that takes time.

Yah my friend works for as a network admin for a telecom company and was explaining to me that blizzard uses out of date servers that would have been fine had they not recieved the number of players that they did. Now we keep having backline problems and server side lag because the servers just arnt up for the workload... T.T blizzard spend some of that profit to upgrade pls instead of bailing your parent company out of dept.
