Weekly Discussion: Class Combo or "Horde gets palains!" : World of Warcraft General Discussions

Not much to explain.

In the expansion Alliance Draenei will be able to be shamans and Horde Blood Elves will be able to be paladins. This will make both factions have the same classes, and probably balance the end game encounters a lot.

But, its destroying the lore, and now there is no diference between the alliance and the horde!

What do you think? Good move by blizzard? And was it needed to balance the end game PvP?

It's not really destroying lore if you read the backstory behind it... i like the idea of dranei having shaman abilities but not blood elves having paladin since they're corrupted.

What¿! Blood Elves may not get paladins¿

No they are, I'm just saying it's going to be sort of screwy with paladins being pretty much the holiest (spelling check on that one?) class and knowing blood elves are all corrupted by magic I can't really see it fitting.

Yeah bloodelves getting Pallis is kindof a stretch but I think it was a neccessary evil. Horde definately needed Pallys for end game and I think Blood Elves are the best race to have them.
Alot more sense than Gnome Warriors

Well all classes can be warriors =) Some just look better than others at it. =P

I know but i couldnt resist the chance to make fun of the gnomes.
I made a gnome warrior for a bit just because i thought it was hilarious to use him to fight a gigantic tauren warrior in the BGs.

But I am glad that Blizzard decided to give both factions all the classes so now no one can complain that "horde always win because they have shaman"
But i guess now it will be "The other faction has better racials"

IMO Blizzard could have thought of a better way to implement shamans to alliance and pallies to horde.

They could have just made a new class for undead "Anti-Paladin" (Existed in D&D). They have basically the same skills as a paladin but draw from the dark instead of the light (or whatever).

Shamans is a little different I guess, the only thing I could think of is to make some kind of gnome engineer specific class with mechanical totems and such.


I just think it's going to be kinda lame seeing an elf paladin.

I think the Tauren should have paladins because they are peaceful and they beilieve in god

I like it in a way since we (horde) will get it a little easier in the end game PvE. But I want to hate paladins!

I think they should give shamans to alli and pallys to us but then they should make 2 more clases that each faction doens't have both
