Tseric fires back at some player feedback regarding his recent update he gave last week regarding the state of the Shaman...

The real issue is that while the class may have short comings, you insist that everyone agrees with exactly what your opinion is. You speak in absolutes to strengthen your argument. You fail to recognize that some people perform well with the class, or that others still have fun with the class. You think everyone thinks like you. You think everyone agrees with you on exactly every point you make.

And from your post, you don't really make any specific points. You don't address the fact that Enhancement in PvP is difficult because of melee attacks trying to keep range with a target. You don't talk about totems having limited range, in arenas or dungeons, being a challenge. You don't talk about being 'pidgeon-holed' into Resto spec, as the strongest tree of the three.

You generalize and assume everyone agrees with you. Gray areas are completely irrelevant in your stance.

Thanks

How silly, Shamans are some of the most annoying classes in the game, I don't understand why anyone would think they are broken.

They are pretty much the anti-mage, and I don't care what anyone says. Pit the best mage against the best shaman, the mage is gonna get it's !@#$%^&* kicked. I knew a guy who would say that if ANY mage could beat his shaman, he'd delete his account, he's still playing to this day and still hasn't lost to a 1v1 against a mage.

And since they are so effective against mages, they do very well against other spell casting classes too, and if you're a resto shaman, your survivability in pvp is so high.

I remember when Naxx had first come out, I was in a BG on my priest with a rogue and warlock friend, it was 3 of us (and maybe another, there was a whole group of horde and alliance at that spot) and we were focusing our fire on this ONE shaman in Tier 3. Now, I didn't have anything special on my shadow priest and neither did the warlock, but the rogue had tier 2, and we just could NOT out-dps what this shaman would heal himself for, and his heals were a good 1.5 seconds long and healed about half of his HP, it was crazy. Somehow, all 3 of us died while trying to kill this single shaman.

Now, maybe we need to l2p, perhaps, but c'mon... a Shadow Priest, a Rogue, and a Warlock on a Shaman, you don't need to know how to play to be able to beat someone 3v1 when they are solely healing themselves.

Now, I know they got a bit of a nerf since then, but still, I've seen Shamans do exceptionally well. That Shaman friend of mine I mentioned earlier wasn't even that great, he was just so used to Shamans being overpowered, he thought he was great. One day he got beat by a Paladin and threw a HUGE fit and stopped playing for a week, I don't doubt that is what everyone else is doing, complaining that now they have to put up a fight.
