Best endgame class? : World of Warcraft General Discussions

I heard the warlock preferably undead were the best.

No one class is the best. It depends on the scenario.

But I heard.. if you were to pick a warlock it would be recommended that you pick the undead out of every other race warlock.

In the end race really doesn't effect it. I mean if you're good (like me) I play a human warlock and can still beat most everyone including undead warlocks.

LOL enless your (shaman) decked out in legendarys! Shaman are easy as hell to kill!

Dont tell me shamans are easy to play, dont even get me started 10+ totems we have to lay always changing depending on what we are doing...

Having to go resto spec to go in MC and BWL so we loose any possible damage..

W/ a freaking paladin you put up your !@#$%^&* lil' sheild and heal & hearth..!

You want to know how much damage our totems take away...?! -27 a hit... thats at a price of 260 mana too!

You want to know why paladins are the best class to play?~! Because you are so freaking easy to play and wear plate! Why? Because whenever you can't 1 hit someone you go on the forums and complain about it!

Yea, see, if you cannot fight it, you shouldn't approach it. Pallies take a LOT of skill to play effectively. Remembering to switch aura depending on what's getting cast, judging the right seals, using the right seals, when to stun, when/what/how to heal, knowing what weapon and stats are needed when using which seal, knowing what blessing, being able to spam freedom. Yea Pally needs skill. thanks.

Priest, Warrior and Rogue

Palis are good in PvP if they're in a group with good DPS, especially if they use consencration on multiple targets on a regular basis while the rest of the party kills the targets off, The pali will still get credit for each kill.

my lv 60 druid owns every1 in bg

It depends on what you want to do, if you want to farm and grind for blue / epic items, then mages are by far the best class, because they can take on like 10 or 12 level 50's at a time, they are excellent for grinding.

If you want to PVP then i would defenitely got with a Warrior / Paladin. They both wear plate and can do heavy duty damage. Same for tanking in end game dungeons.

if you want to sneak into dungeons and steal chests too see what's inside and overall like the whole idea of being sneaky, then obviously rogue is for you.

if you like sitting back and doing nothing but click the mouse every now and then while everyone else fights then go with a priest or druid, since that is about all they do at end game, click -> heal, click -> heal....

I have played all the clasess on the alliance side, I do not know much about horde, so my opinion is purely based on experience on alliance side. My favorite class is still the paladin, I know that most people hate paladins and think that blizzard made them supperior in some way or other ... whatever, anyway, my paladin is my pride and joy, i play all my characters and like them all, but my pally is my pally, he is simply the best for me, you might feel different, taste differs for everyone, my neighbor like priests, my bro like warlocks, my other bro likes mages ... you get the picture ? you will have to descide what's best for you. I like being all over, healing when it gets to much for the priest, tanking when the warrior is overloading with mobs etc .. a paladin is an all rounder and thus is probly one of the most difficult and most interesting classes to play. but that is just my opinion ... you will have to get your own

I think mages get the best of it atm even though they still have not gotten there own patch. They deal so much damage in teir 1 or teir 2 and there are many trinkets and stuff that can improve your spell damage for a limited time.

Rogues are my preference all the way--
-sword/mace rogues can take out mail and plate wearers fairly easily and dagger spec. can take out the casters

-With dagger spec. one catches a caster like a mage, preferably one without a shield and one does cheap shot and backstab- if speced right one can often get 5 points from that before they blink, one sprints up and use coldblood eviscerate and it is over for them- if they frostnova one better vanish
-With any other class that doesn't use a trinket to get out, rogues can have them stunlocked for the first 10 seconds before the other class they are facing can do anything and a Stun Watch addon makes this easy, with a nice sword you can be hitting hard steady damage on anything, if a warrior is in def. stance you can use evasion and what not then just gouge if they switch to battle stance in order to overpower--blind and first aid is a great way to heal up also but this is what most warriors and what not save their PvP trinkets for
-I find pallys to be fairly easy if the rogue has same level gear or better on them. With the ability to gouge run back and restealth gives us the ability to knock off our starting moves over and over..I know they hate rogues that do that
-Hunters are easy if you hit them first but if they get a rogue in a frozen trap then that rogue has already lost the fight- In duels just wait until you can catch them offguard..even if it takes 30 min. if you want lol.

Uhh, maybe a defensive pally, but my build uses a rare.. nvm my build, it's not for public use... but an offensive pally in PvP shouldn't have conse anymore, not since removal from retri treee.... points in devo for 25% boost, retri trees good abilities, then finish up with heal boost/70% non interrupt doesn't need a group... I have no idea where you met a pally that needs a group, I didn't on this build when I tried it, and I don't now that I've switched back to my multi attack build.... then again I can one hit a war.... using stored attacks... 300-380 dmg per hit with 5-6 hits in one shot..... combined with SoC which will proc at least once, and you have one nice, dead war... (I have a 39.82% crit chance ^^) Sometimes, you don't get a one hit on a decked out war using shield and def stance... but you can against this build if Vengeance procs at the first two hits, as the rest are boosted by 12% dmg... yea... still... I pitty the pally that cries because he or she cannot win a fight alone. FOR SHAME!!!

warriors are solid but get boring, rogues are for beginners and end game is fun but you have rely on certain things, Healing classes are boring all you do is heal.. id say MAGE is fun

Coming from a person who plays alot of level 60's I have 60 Warrior [] 60 Hunter [] 60 mage (my brother's) [] and My friend plays a full judgment paladin []

To start things off, a paladin is a very useful class in pvp and is THE best healing and buffing and attacking support. My friend and I run AV and all he does is buff everyone he see's and then he heals all the melee classes around him while he bonks people with his hammer. My warrior just runs around on a killing spree because he is healing me and shielding me like no tomorrow. A warrior is really fun but versus mages it is extremely hard 1vs1 unless your gear is greatly better. I also play my hunter who has full epics from MC and some from BWL. I have a Rhok'delar and personally I think hunters were overpowered because of how much I could do damage and then avoid everyone else. Warloks I hear are becoming the class of desire and really they are in fact like hunters. Their gear makes their class. you can have an awesome build and be a great player but if your gear sucks you suck. =/ Many warlock are great duelers but in open field they are almost a free kill (not downing warlocks I'm just saying they are not any better than any other class). Every class has a class they can pwn and a counterpart that they really can't do !@#$%^&* to. either that or they do about the same to every class.

Hunter: Shaman are tough because they have a ranged slowing move that can crit for 2k (but any class that engages an aware and skilled hunter is in for a fight) clothwearing persons.

Warrior: Mages, rogues are warned

Rogues: Warriors (varies in your build) great against casters

Priest: I've never really played a priest so I'm really clueless

Druid: very balanced class can take anyone class on.

Warlock: great against anyone without shadow resistance. otherwise shadowbold crits will lead to your ultimate fate.

Paladin: I've heard my friend has some truble with mages and druids. but really IMO paladins are a support class that can take on an enemy for a long time and possibly kill it but they are meant to survive and keep others alive while they kill for him and he assists. (paladins don't flame plz I'm just stating an opinion hence the IMO)

But that's really what I think about endgame classes as far as pvp.
