6 month cooldown actually sounds reasonable. =) Especially if it's free I mean who cares.

How long has it been taking? Do they send emails to verify stuff? I bought an account and never changed the info on it. It's in the process of xferring now though. Just wondering if I should send the guy an email saying heads up for some verification thing.

What do you mean? You can only change if you have the same last name as him.

Up to 5 days.

First of all it seems irrelevant, second of all, what's so weird?

he is talking about the gold limit, you can only have a certain ammount of gold and switch servers... if you have too much, they wont let you..

Well, they did say in the job discription GM's have to live IN San Diego where they can only be GM's at the headquarters.

So I'm guessing, that there aren't any actually in Europe... But thats just my two cents...

I just think its stupid because they are only offering transfers from high population servers at this point. Was it just me or wasn't this an option well before and was free at certain times?
So you know there isnt a large cost for them to move the characters.... probably takes some guy 3 minutes if that

Wow!, 25$ for a server transfer forget that, i guess if someone wants to transfer bad enough then they will so i guess it was a good move on blizz's part. talk about good for them bad for us *whats new*
at least this isn't everquest i heard they pretty much "gave up" on helping their players out probably cause they are all coming to WoW

I think it is really benefitial in some aspects but harmful in others. It's a good way for friends from other servers to get together and keep playing on their higher level characters, but at the same time because players get to keep their honor, items and other stuff it could easly harm the economy. Some realms haven't even finished all the end game content yet and now masses of people are flooding into those servers.

All things taken into concideration though, I suppose it's a good idea for some people, and since Blizzard is making more money I'm sure they're happy with it too.
