Buying 100-500 or maybe more gold wont really get you banned.. But buying 2 or 3 thousand isn't going to do anything but raise a giant red flag with flashing green and blue lights that says "Wow gold buyer!!!" Spread your purchases out and you'll be just fine.

use the Ah, farm cloth and get mining and herb. you'll be rich

If you can get lots of raw mats (copper, leather, stone) try to get to booty bay via Ratchet and sell it on the neutral AH, that should get your highest price

A friend of mine bought 5k gold and he didn't get any warning, ban or something. A lot of ppl know it bcus from the gold he bought BWL runs from a guild. He went from rare to t2 in about a month and no warning/ban.

yeah its pretty hard to get banned buying gold, ive done it once in wow but a bunch in other games.

but if bliz found out, as in someone told them, they would ban u for sure wouldnt they?

well, I am jsut a casual player, I don't specifically try to make extra amounts of gold. Basically I jsut quest and kill mobs. Pick up the loot from the Mobs, scan the AH with Auctioneer, and sell some of the loot on the AH. I am lvl 30, I got 178g. Pretty damn good for never actually working at it. But auctioneer is a MUST, it is by far the best addon for making money out there that is not bannable.

Buying gold is not a bannable offense, selling gold is.
Your not aloud to sell it, but there is nothing wrong with buying.

But it is weak to buy gold. /sigh
