best classes for certain races... : World of Warcraft General Discussions

Humans are probably better warriors then dwarves because of their +skill to swords and maces. Plus they have enhanced stealth detection skill. Dwarves stoneform isn't that good, though one thing not mentioned in the tooltips is that it stops all bleeding damage.

ok guys this is what im narrowing my first char choice down to:
*human pally or warrior
*night elf hunter or druid
*dwarf hunter
please evryone help me out to give me pros and cons to shich one i should pick. Also just tell me which one u think is best.

I've only ever played Night Elf Hunters so I'm a bit partial to them. One pro that I particularly like, since I play on PvP servers, is the ability to shadowmeld and have pet kitty prowl to avoid the potential run-in with the Horde since they have an unquenchible thirst for grieving Alliance players 20 levels lower than themselves.

IMO:

Human - Paladin/rogue (perception is good when ur a rogue, cuz u can pwn all other rogues)
Nightelf - Warrior (shadowmeld lets you get first charge on everyone)
Dwarf - Paladin? (Dwarfs have crappy racial traits for example "Find Treasure"<-- that is the dumbest racial i ever heard of.)
Gnome - Mage/Warlock (They suck at everything else)

Orc - Warrior/shaman (Stun resistance is good for both)
Troll - Rogue (Berserker mode makes dps insane)
Undead - Warrior/Rogue (WoTF is for MELEE CLASSES to resist fear, charm, ect.)
Tauren - Hunter/Druid (Stomp makes it easier to stun and run way to use ranged attacks)

Dwarves have ok racials but Find Treasure sucks! They're best off as hunter with their gun bonus and their stoneform is actually pretty useful.

Dorfs are probably the best alliance race for rog. NE's are ok, humans are ok, gnomes are prob the worst.

Why are dwarves the best for rogues? Stoneform isn't as good as escape artist or perception. NE at least give them enhanced stealthing.

So I'm just going to put this out there:

When it all comes down to it, your racial choice is going to be almost a non-factor with your class. The benefits from stats/abilities are never really going to be such a huge swing that any one race is better than another. They all have their benefits, and one could argue for days about which ones are more useful, more applicable, etc. In the end, just pick the one you like the best. It's really not going to matter.

lol def rogue looks coolest UD but NE by far best benefit with the extra agil bonus every level...they get 12.00% crit chance at lvl one with normal armor

Human: Loladin, Warlock (for uber Paranoia+Perception combo)
Night Elf: Warrior, Hunter
Dwarf: Priest
Gnome: Rogue, Warrior, Mage

Orc: Warrior, Hunter
Troll: Mage, Hunter
Undead: Pretty much everything
Tauren: Warrior and....Druid lol

The truth of the matter is that WoW is not the same as ffxi. It doesn't matter what race you choose, you'll still get groups, get in guilds, and wont feel gimp. Sure NE have the bonus to AGI and dodge that is nice for rogue and hunter, dwarves are good for priest because of their fear ward, tauren make nice warriors and shaman because of war stomp, undead get will of the forsaken which also makes them a good choice for warrior.


good and bad points to them all. but in the end it doesn't really matter.
