MNK, the True Underdog : FFXI General Discussions

Hello everyone, MNK here lv 67.

Once at this Lv, we lvl off bones, I get so many pt invites its not even funny! Increased martial arts means less delay as well.

Anyways, my point being, MNK is really th eunderdog of the game.
People say it sucks at lower lvls but cant get anough of em at higher lvls ^^.

Anyone else have any underdog jobs? ^^

Unmatched in PvP, specially with Sam or Nin sub.

actually before they made counter work only on the mob facing you, monks destroyed with counter stats and are still extremly hard to take down 1v1

DRK is a terribly understimated job. At lower levels they're among the last to get invites. Yet when it comes to Dynamis or HNMs ppl allways complain there's not enough of them.

A damage crazy DD that can {Stun}? {Yes please.}

nobody really wants rdms til lvl 40, then it is a necessity to have one

I like MNK's in my party but were rare pre 50ish. Now they seem to be more common. Hurray for MNK's.

I hear MNK's are fun to play might try one soon I am running out of mage jobs.

MNK is good for nm camping with chi blast imo, and they have awesome WS once they lvl up

I think is the most underdog job. Especailly in ptys. Most people dont know much about. They also dont understand how the PET affects the XP.

Just for all those that dont know.

If the Pet is a DC or below PTY gets no XP penalties. They are also very helpful in PTY in more than one way.


Before Thieve gets sneak is also hard to lvl.

DRK and MNK are kind of Wild cards in early lvl since most like

2 Wild Cards 2 DD or 1 DD and 1 backup healer
