Effective-ness of Bots : FFXI General Discussions

hello im new to these forums and if what i seek can be ound here i will be paying for a premium. But before i do pay for a premium membership i have a few questions which im sure many of u will have heard hundreds of times before.

1: The fishing bot, does it fish up every fish perfectly or is there a certain lvl required beforehand? eg. black soles cap at 96. can a lvl 1 fisherman catch them with a bot or would u need about 40-50 levels to make it easier for the program? my fishing is 50 and i got there doing it manually. i tried my hand at black sole and it was a nightmare to fish up sometimes and other times relatively easy.

2: the synthesis bot. would it require some advance knowledge of prgramming/ scripting to master? or is it the same script for them all?

3: Can bots and scripts i may be using corrupt my FFXI files or damage my char in anyway at all?

4: I am someone who knows how to turn a computer ON and OFF but little else. Are these programs you provide user friendly?

5: Is there anyway of knowing if a GM is onto to my botting etc? they have any package that sniffs these things out?

1: it does not allow you to pull in any level fish but it can allow you to pull in fish 30 levels above your current skill. just make sure you do not use azaril's windower or you wont be able to catch fish as easily or not at all of higher up fish. either use full screen, jp windower, or TU windower

2: the synthesis bot does require a little knowledge but its not very hard to figure it out. its just for the recepie list you will need to edit to add more but its very simple to figure out.

3: there is a small chance that someway of your computer crashing may mess up a file in your comp but that will just not allow you to log onto the game untill you reinstall. corruption of your char is VERY VERY VERY hard to do. the corruption of a game file is VERY VERY rare. happened to me once by a crash but wasnt that bad.

4: some yes but quite a few no. if you want one thats basicly very noob friendly look into burner-ware (google it and remove the - ). the service here is sorta ok but if you want it as noob friendly as you can burner-sware is the place to go.

5: there is a chance that they can detect what you got if they have a susipcion by doing what some people believe they are doing of HDD scans. they have talked to people in jail and told them exactly what they are running so we know its probable. also someone may call a GM on you which will put on suspicion, my tip dont afk bot. bor while at your comp sorta but watching tv or sumthin.

1) you usually can NOT catch fish more than 10 levels over your current level, you get a message "you lost your catch due to lack of skill." I am currently level 38 fishing and I get this message fishing in Rabao from time to time using a worm lure to get sandfish(cap50) and giant donko(cap49).

I did not know the windower screwed with the fishing progie... might be why i was having bad luck with it.

ive been catching titan's and im only level 65

1 is a tricky one really. It depends not only your skill but your rod as well imo. From my own experience, I can catch silversharks just fine using lu shang. But when I switch to tarutaru rod (trying to break it for woodworking skill) I get the message "skill too low." Same thing with titanictus, with Lu Shang I can always pull them up if I deplete enough stamina off it. But with other rod, I get "skill too low."

that is prolly the case - I am using a composite rod
