About Kida's Fishing Database. : FFXI General Discussions

A lot of comments have come up since I gave the link to the database I have made: http://kida.theill.com. I am very happy that people are using the site.

I was rather surprised when people started talking about giving me a premium membership and I must say that that was not the reason why I submited the link to this site. I simply wanted to spread the word and maybe help some fishers out when trying to target a specific fish or when they needed information on something fishing-related. At the moment the post has been moved to another section of this forum and it is not possible for me to repond in this area (hence this new post).

I know the site is not XU exclusive. I have made the database on my own and it has been (and still is) a lot of work. I know a lot of the data is comming from various sources on the net but a lot of the info is also from people who have sumbitted info to me when visiting the site. I am also writing a lot of the information myself and making the maps on my own.

I do not vote for myself as premium member !!!

Once again... all I really wanted was to make the users of this site aware of something I have made and that I am getting more and more proud of as people use the site and the information is getting more and more accurate and satisfying for the common fisher.

If you like the site and find it usefull .... use it ... if you don't like it and have other resources you prefer... use them. I am making this site because I think it is a fun project and usefull both to myself but also for everybody else who play Final Fantasy. I am learning a lot of things about the .Net 2.0 framework and use this in my job.

Lastly I would like to thank everybody for supporting me and taking an interest in the site.

I think your site is best one ever since Clanwind stopped being updated !

Only thing, if i may suggest : Once you got the result from a query (for a specific fish for example) you can click on a zone and it brings a page where you can see only the fish you can get from that zone but no other informations... Would be great it launched a query for that specific zone instead...

Great site, probably best to also advertise it in places like Allakhazam - General and Trade Skill forums, KI and any of the old fishing sites if you have not already.

davidvandamn was right if i were you i would post the information on KI or Allakahzam would get you the best results
