An old exploit back? : Star Wars Galaxies Nerfed Info

Have a house sitting on a server line and dropped a lava cannon in there with one toon. Log another toon on to pick up the stuff. Thing is when i brought up the radial all i got was the option to examine. So i did /pick to pick it up and said i must move closer. so i stood on top of it and did it again. Picked up the lava cannon and some other items this way. Log back on this morning after server reset and everything i picked up is in my inventory AND still in the house and is abled to be picked up as normal. *note i did this just before server reset. An older 'splot back? can anyone else confirm this? i will try to duplicate this and see what i learn.

*EDIT: This only happened with items i picked up in on room.
