I never said some of botting doesn't mess up the game for others but as a rule botters don't do !@#$%^&* like MPK and other evil stuff like that.

And it wasn't gilselling that was really hiking the economy up, it was the dupers. And since they are banned now, you're are seeing the prices going down.

And tell me how me botting fishing is ruining the game for others? The only argument that holds water is that I'm keeping them from selling the same item I'm selling. I'm certainly not keeping them from any NM drops or from farming mobs.

People who bot farming and bot camping NM are running a risk of being caught as am I when I bot fishing. But again botters are doing crap like pulling the monster a very long distance from its spawn point to keep others from seeing the ID of the mob and other things like that. Gil sellers do tactics like that all the time.

You take away the tactics that discouragable and I'd have to agree that buying and botting are roughly the same.

dude.. have you forgot the HNMLS wars that been going on for the last year or two?? MPKing was there b4 the gil seller came into the fight...

If you don't, I am telling you now a lot of HNMLS are hogging most of the NM's (I am talking about easy ones from Bloodtears and going up), the only NM they leave alone are the ones with more than 1 day spawn rate + shyty drop rate or cheap drops... and they use bots to make sure they keep the advantage.. their greed generates more greed for others who can't get what they need.. and it's no big secret that a lot of us are a slave to the game, people with money would notice this anyways and take advantage of the moment to invest in gil farming and RMTing them..
do not get me wrong.. I am not agianst competion as it's part of the game.. but honestly.. people that are using claiming bots and try to hold the ground for themselves and get mad about the end results of people buying gils.. they are pretty full of ####...

God bless mobs with "Draw in" Ability... most campers would come to the spwan site ahead of time, If I don't see the NM's ID pop, I just go invs then kick flee-tool to "hyper" and scan the whole area within a few mins till I get the ID... problem solved..

If you want to hold an argument about gil sellers, here's one, that they will seek out their top computer intellectuals to make better bots for the sake of making real money(they have came up with the most advanced bots for other games that were ment for farming and multi-function), I am already seeing some of them came with a way to get around the patch made for pop-instant-claiming + they are closer to the server.. they would try to hold such software from other gil-sellers (if you didn't noticed they are not one big group, they are group of different gil farming companies), but sooner or later way b4 someone finds the right amount of dollars to make one of them betray their bosses and it leaks out to us, it will spread amoung the RMT's first and when that happens they would be wooping everyone's ### when it comes to claiming for a long time till we get the same toy or SE patchs it as well..

it's all wrong. but we do it anyway. whatever is convenient for us. if we got caught, sucks for us. it not, what can they do?

do whatever you're happy about. just be smart about it.

I really could give a crap less about HNM. I wasn't talking about that at all. I know the stories behind that. But you are right, that's where the majority of the MPK goes on. Most gil sellers can't fight those anyway because they are too damned lazy to get that high.

I'm talking about mobs like Argus and the like. Gil selling and buying is gunna go on no matter what I think. If you really want to know my true opinion,... the old saying "a fool and his money..." applies perfectly to people who buy gil.

I dont normally buy Gil. The only time I do is during Christmas or people's birthday to buy them items. The Gil I get for my character is from BCNMs and ENMs and what not. I only have 18k now as a SAM62 XD But that's because I don't get gil until my leader of linkshell decides to have events. Im new so if this next analogy is against the rules, just delete this please but,

Gil Buying is like masturbation. It's taboo to the public and socially unaccepted, but people do it anyway.
