Need to bypass a firewall to play l2 : Lineage 2 General Discussions

Currently i am doing a research study to make some extra money. I got my computer in here, but they have a damn firwall that keeps me from getting on lineage2. I am free to search the internet,but i cannt use any game like yahoo games, ebaums world games, WOW, lineage 2, or dungens and dragons online. I have looked everywhere to get around the firewall, i am under the impression that i need to know what ip and port it uses but i do not know how to find that out. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me. I am in here for 23 days and i will go crazy without lineage 2.

Try This:

• Start Button
  
• Run
• Type msconfig
• Press enter
• Uncheck Load Startup Items
• Click ok
• Restart
• Check "Do not show again"
• Click ok
• Try running the game again

If that doesn't work try reinstalling Lineage 2. (keeping all disabled) Then try again.

Okay tried everything you said minus reinstalling lineage2 because i do not have the discs. I am under the impression that you think the firewall is something n my computer and it is not it is a device they (the reaseach center) are using to keep me off the games and from porn sites my guess. It is only a firewall but i think i will have to find a way to bypass it to acually play. People on other forums have said something about sockscap and freecap and httphost and http port. I really need some help here guys board out of my mind.

Do you have a router?

No i do not have a router now i guess i could get one if my girlfriend brught one too me. how would a router help my situation. I amstill just checkig every where and still have found nothing , but i know it can be done because someone did it (they are not here now though) and i frmatted my harddrive.

Well you need a specific port open and if they blocked that you are in trouble. I would google this one.

so okay i found smething that works but does not. Okay i downloaded sockscap and a program called your freedom. Your freedom is a remote server providing me with most of the access i need and a way to tunnel to there is provided by Sockscap. I can run WOW with these to and i have confirmed it. Problem is i cannot download the newest baby patch for lineage2 , If i use the l2.exe i can get past login part but i cannot get past server select. It says i have the wrong proto call (which makes since because i am just bypassing the update server by using the l2.exe file).

Now i have a kind of small bandwidth could that be the problem

Also might someone have a zip of the most current lineage2 patch or everything so that i could get the patch with out the update server.

it is imposible to do it remote.. you should find a friend who can reach the firewall settings and you have to make him/her open ports u need.
