coral fragments with fishing bot, worth it? : FFXI General Discussions

hi guys i am deciding to make some money with a fishing bot in onzozo ( you just get rusty legging/coral fragments there) . but i am not sure if its worth it. and how much fragments i get there, if i use my bot for hours? i fish with a lu shangs... i have some guys at my server they sell till 10 stacks per day, HOW THEY MAKE IT? i am very confiused....

Ok every server must have this guys, corarem, tempremo, etc. they have like 6 chars on 2 or 3 accounts, since its an item you dont need level 100 fishing to get altough and higher your level less chance to line snap.

So what they do, i have studied them cuz since square nerfed coral fishing i left the coral market, and this is what they do:

They have the higher level to travel to onzozo, also onzozo has an agro free spot, this guy put 2 level 1 characters to fish there in the same spot, its so obvious but gms wont do !@#$%^&*, then when he gets fatigued he passess the coral to the other char and lu shangs too, and logs another char in there and gets the lu and start fishing, then when the other one gets fatigued he do the same thing and rinse and repeat, some time in the day a high level char comes around them and take all the fished coral and warps back to jeuno, pass it to another lowbe char and (corarem or tempremo) and he leaves.

Now this bots are 24/24 in onzozo i reported them 2 or 3 times because if you try to sell coral in his market they will slam the prices even to 25k stack so thats unfair, the last time i reported them the GM atcually warn me if i reported them again i will get suspended.

.......Why the !@#$%^&* are you trying to report these people. Calling a GM on a RMT is a waste of time. The most a GM will ever do is /tell them or something, and if they reply (which RMT basically always do - not to other players, but they will talk to GMs), then the GM looks at you and sees someone who is wasting their time.

wow thats crazy i think gms are not better than rmt lol... they work with them problably . anyway... thank you for your information...

but i think for this trick you need more than 1 computer.... ><

Windower will allow multiple instances of FFXI to be run at the same time on one PC.

you are sure? cause my bf said its not possible with the windower... how does it work?

You need more than one POL Account, and should have them already set up and in your list of IDs in PlayOnline.

Then you just run Launcher again to open up another copy of PlayOnline. Depending on your system, you may experience some lag.

The tricky part though, is getting your fishbot to recognize which FFXI window its supposed to be fishing on. So you would need to run 2 Fishbots that are each configured to find the right FFXI window. So you could name one FFXI window - FFXiApp1 then the other - FFXiApp2 and enter those window names into your corresponding fishbots.

Lag is a problem^^, but you shouldn't get too much on the active window.

Also some graphics cards can't cope with it for some reason.

Use the windower as posted above, it will lag you, but it will allow you to play on more characters at once (Dual boxing)

Well i solved the lag issue once with an app that controlled cpu use and i configured that pol can only take 80% of the cpu, that fixed my problem but i formated my computer and lol, lost the app so now im suffering lag again....

And pepper84, they are gil sellers i bet they have a network of computers boting...

anybody know how does that work with 2 chars in one windower? i tried it out, but my kursor and my second logged char, were running like crazy , i couldnt stop it. when i changed to my first logged char, all was fine... why i cant play on the second char normal too? i play on 1280x1024 the window have to be smaller problably? and you said they log to another char--> trade lu shangs to another person log out, log with another char etc.... is there a bot which can make this?

i would try this methode with the fragments in onzozo. but my problem is , i have to trade the rod + fragments to the other char, logout log on with another mule etc... so this throws afk fishing out of the window... that means i have to be every 2 hour or something near my keyboard... and that sucks >< ... a bot with this functions would be perfect, but i think i dont find on for this job... anyway guys if someone have an idea just post it...
