Where me (Lvl 44 mage) Grind for good drops and good money? : World of Warcraft General Discussions

Hey there,

I am a LVL 44 mage with fire focus. I am getting bored looking for a good place to grind where I can get a decent amount of greens and good sellable trash or whites. I found a good spot with immediate regens in Darkshire but am too high lvl to grind them and get EXP.. I need a better place, I am poor, need good guidance here. Dont have the patience for whelping.. I need a place with monsters that are green or yellow, easy to kill for a caster and lots of drops verses the crap I been getting the past few days. (Please no instances want to do this SOLO) If possible give me a few choices.. secluded areas where i can grind alone are preferred.

Try Feralas and grind on woodpaws. But watch out for the casters, they can cast annoying diseses.

If you want a grinding spot i think grinding off of raptors behind the gurubashi arena in STV (Stranglethorn Vale) should be pretty good for you, you should get a decent amount of greens, and some blues...and they've even been known to drop epic items from time to time lol. There about 4 - 3 levels below you so you should have no problem, or you can go and kill the pirates just south of there, they give good xp, decent drops, and more around your level, but probably alot more tough. Plus when you see short john mithril yelling about the chest you can easily run inside the arena and fight for it without any long running.


P.S. The spot behind the gurubashi arena usually has 1 - 2 people usually fighting them (depending on the popularity of the server), though to how long the spawn range is behind there you can easily grind confortably with 4 or 5 people back there.

Thanks for your responses, so far however I have been most impressed by the Bears in Ferals, not the Woodpaws if you would believe!

They drop bear jaws quite often which are worth more silver than I thought they would be. One bear dropped an Epic shield called "The Green Tower" or something like that. (I think it has a good value of 50+ Gold) and is in the auctionhouse now (Thrall)

I fought the Woodpaws for quite a while and got low coin, that's it.

I also found some griffin type birds that drop feathers that sell well. I am putting up 50 points here guys, please give me something good! So far the bears are best and I found that out from a different post.

Hmm well i still stick with my response, check it out when your able. As for the purple grats on the find, but that happens on all mobs that have a drop rate of a purple, you were just extremely lucky. Best regards.....

Thanks, and yeah i know what you mean. My server goes down alot also, kinda ruins the game play when half the time is spent doing something else while waiting for your server to go back up.

Tanaris. The pirates in that cove..... good times... good exp... just watch out for the occasional Ganking.

Find you a priest to group with and since the pirates are all over you can round 15 of them up easy.... AOE/Heal and make a killing.

None of them have any stunns either... but some of them do shoot so make sure you bring the group to the shooters.

Thanks for the reply but I think you missed the part in my original post where I am wanting to grind Solo. I dont always have the time to dedicate to grouping up, so I need places I can go Solo for short periods of time, perhaps an hour.. I'm still trying things on my own.. but suggestions are what i am looking for..

Again, Just me grinding alone, Level 46 mage (now) Want good drops for money and possible upgrades to my goodies. Easy Green monsters or yellows that die fast also if possible.

You can solo them easy. I was just saying you could group with a priest (whop has to quest there) and mob them instead of grinding them.

Wolves in hinterlands are good, they have a pretty good drop rate of furry mane's which will sell for 40s for 5 to merchants, and there are always wolves out there, the farther east you go, the higher the level so if you want something more challenging you can head back there or if you just wanna make some quick cash you can kill the ones right outside of wildhammer
