L2 - Featured Hero from Gustin : Lineage 2 General Discussions

This week's featured hero is Lyrene from Gustin! I managed to corner Lyrene between olympiad matches and asked him a few questions:

Do you feel that being a hero is a position of responsibility?
In my opinion heroes have the special opportunity to give back to the community through the hero voice. Radio mammon and wts/wtb shouts are a start, but I think it would be nice for more heroes to take an initiative to provide more, eh, features.

Features like what?
Well, I've tried to do some things before. I do brainteasers and riddles from time to time. I also did some poetry/haiku recitation over Christmas which was a lot of fun. It can be hard to get people involved sometimes.

Do you think the hero competition system needs to be changed?
Yes and no. As it stands, hero competition is a test of clan organization rather than individual prowness. It's not determined by who the "best" player of each class is. Whether is this good or bad I don't know. However, there definitely is an imbalance of certain classes (including mine) that are too strong.

What's been the most rewarding part of being a hero?
I find the social aspect the most rewarding. Being able to communicate with everyone via hero chat.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a hero?
Be honest with the goal you set for yourself.
