Problem with Private Servers : World of Warcraft General Discussions

Ok, I'm new here (was reffered here by someone) and new to the whole private server scene.
There's a badass private server that my friend showed me, HellCats, and it runs on ver 1.12.1.
He joined using his version 1.12.1 copy.
I tried joining using my ver 1.12.1 copy, but it gave me some bs about "Unable to validate game version."

Anyone have any ideas how i can fix this?
