Unicorn and Shadow Hound : Vanguard Discussion

Anyone know where to buy these??

I think shadow hounds are bought in "evil" cities... ie martok

95% sure you dont buy em. Not sure if this has anything at all to do with it, but ive seen the unicorns east of tursh, past trengal keep kinda south of the housing island i think. high lvl static npcs i think...maybe that has something to do with it?

I'd say they are not in game. Theres something about them on the 'In the Works' page though.

I had a RL friend who said he had a unicorn for about an hour or so at lvl 12 I think. He was on the Thunderaxe (or something like that) server. He said he had to complete a quest for it, and it only lasted for a limited amount of time.

As a goblin or orc you also get a shadowhound if you follow the starting quest line. It is no rent.

Griffon quest is near southwatch. And honestly takes about 25 minutes to do. You do get a griffon for an hour, but it has a limited range.(Basically stay in chunk). The Griffon lasts for an hour for the times quest. You run out of time you lose the griff. You complete the quest, you lose the griff. Although, if you do fail, you CAN delete the quest and have a buddy share it with you again. Thus re-enableing the griffon. But you can not go back to the quest giver and get the quest (One shot at it only.)

The quest is given by a griffon trainer in the hills north of southwatch. It is a quest series, as I stated above, it takes about 25 minutes to get to the griffon rideing part. If you have never ridden a flying mount, I would definately recomend doing the quest. The flying mounts in beta were a lot of fun (And also a lot of buggy).

There is another griffon mount quest at Cragwind on Qalia but I hear its bugged, go figure.

I wonder if that unicorn north of lakeview has something to do with it.
